The country has witnessed a lot in the past decade and things can't go any worse anymore," he quips.
On what he felt about Kirron Kher's joining politics, the actor said, "We are two different individuals and respect each other. I remember Kirron talking to me a few years back saying my city is calling me. She told me that maybe it was age. Maybe when people grow old they long to be back home, where they actually belong".
Kher, who was seen campaigning for his wife in Chandigarh early this week, feels communication and an appeal played a key role.
"Bina maange toh role bhi nahi milta, vote toh maangni hi padegi," he adds.
Anupam Kher who is a member of the Sarin Memorial Legal Aid Foundation, Chandigarh is in the city for the inauguration at Dayanand Medical College and Hospital. He will also be staging his autobiographical play 'kuch bhi ho sakta hai' at Guru Nanak Bhawan on April 5.
